Hi everybody,
I want to learn Revit Architecture. I need a laptop in order to start-up but there are tones of options and I don't know which is good for a starter-guy like me?
In my county, the best option seem like Lenovo branded laptops. Could anyone give me a laptop configuration?
I'm planning to trace over a current project I am working on to learn by practice (not rendering). It's a education facility of 25.000sqm area. Please keep that in mind for me.
Thanks in advanced,
Mehmet Ali.
Just make sure it has 4 GB RAM minimum and a Quatro FX video card. 8GB+ RAM reccomended, Quatro video card a must in a Laptop I would say.
Ohh..
The comps with quadro cards are so expensive.. I just need a starter kit.. Isn't a Nvidia GT645M enough to make me turn the learning curve?
I would get as much RAM as you can then. The video is very imporant but RAM would be next then CPU.
For example, do you think the configuration in the below would be or not?
Lenovo Z500
CPU: Intel i5 3210M - 2.5Ghz - 3MB cache
RAM: 6GB DDR3
Display: nVidia GT645M 2GB - external (non-shared)
HDD: 1TB - 5400rpm
Thanks,
Hi. Based on my experience it depends on the size and type of work you need to do.
For presentations, renderings and walkthroughs, and for large projects I wouldn't go for anything less than i7, 16 GB RAM, and 2GB VGA. 8GB might work but can be frustrating.
I believe these specifications are more than enough. Again (based on my experience).
