Is it possible to import details from AutoCAD and overlay them as lines on Revit details?

Yes, set your import lineweights file, so the lineweights come in good. and just link or import you dwg into your revit detail. If its in a drafting view it will work the best. YOu'll need to be in wireframe mode in all other views so you'll have to set your far clip plane such that you don't see unwanted items.

I recommend doing all dimensioning and noting in revit.
