I am currently working on a BIM in Revit. I know how to specify a material for a particluar revit component by changing its properties and choosing from the list.
However, if the material I need is not on the list that is already loaded on Revit, how do I import a material and make sure that it has the correct IFC format (so that when exported to IFC format the material I have named is actaully the material according to IFC)
Basically, is there an IFC database that gives me the correct IFC information for any material?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
