How to fade ceiling grid for plotting

Hi! I'm using Revit 2014 & have not been able to fade the ceiling grid lines so they don't plot out so heavy on my dwgs. I've tried overriding graphics of these grids with half tone which didn't work then I tried traspapency & that did not work. They either stay on or turn right off! Any ideas!

Thanks

Paul

Have you tried to change the material  Surface Pattern?

Manage>Materials > Material Browser >Ceiling Tiles >Graphics> Surface Pattern > Color

You can also Override (only for active View) .... Why you said you can not?

  • in Ceiling Plan View > Properties> Visiblity/Graphics Overrides > Edit > Model Categories > Ceiling > Halftone
  • The Halftone can be controled from: Manage >Additional Settings >Halftone/Underlay > Halftone - move the slider to control the intensity....

That did it! Thanks Constantine! I originally selected all the ceiling components that right clicked & override graphics by view which was not fading. I followed your steps & everything worked fine.

Thanks again!

Yes I did, but not sure why that would affect the fading. Is this color
changing putting it on a layer that can have the lineweight faded? I found
what seemed to work best was VG then setting to halftone.

Thanks again for your help!

Paul
