Hide Arrow Control For Family

Within the elevation tag there is a Control Symbol represented that is a tick box. When you hover over the box, it is called a Hide Arrow.

Can I use the Hide Arrow for families I have created myself?

I want the user to be able to click on a door family and for a number of these Hide Arrow Control Symbols to appear, giving them the option to turn on linework in and around the door showing access requirements

Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

You can do this using visibility parameters that act as instance or type yes/no parameters.

Yep, I know. But I don't want the user to control visibility in the properties box, I want them to do it on screen.

No there in no graphical control for family parameters other than the "flip controls".
However, there is an add-in from AutoDesk that you can download called "Parametric Sliders" that lets you control graphicaly parameters with on canvas sliders. I have never used it so I cannot tell you more. Keep in mind that it is designed for Vasari, so it might work in revit but I do not know it what extend.
Hope it helps
