Help.. Cloud Render tool

I have Revit 2012 with update 2 and I downloaded the Cloud rendering add-in. However, when I opened up Revit, the Online tab was not in the ribbon. I've tried to repair it but it still doesn't show up.

Hi mvns0663

Assuming that you are running Windows 7 64-bit, do you have “Autodesk Revit 2012 Cloud Rendering” listed in your list of installed programs when open Control Panel > Programs?

If you open C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012, is there an “Autodesk.Neon.addin” addin file listed?

Is there a folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Autodesk Revit 2012 Cloud Rendering” on the machine?

I would try resetting the UI to see if it corrects the issue:

If that doesn’t fix the issue, I would try uninstalling “Autodesk Revit 2012 Cloud Rendering” from Control Panel > Programs and try downloading teh installer again and reinstalling ensuring that you are logged on as an admin with antivirus off.

When you installed the addin, did you select to install it for all users or just your user account.  If you selected all users it should have placed the addin in the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012 folder whereas if you selected just you, it would have placed the addin in the C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012 folder for the user that ran the installer.

Are you running the installer from the same Windows Account as what you use when you run Revit?

If you check the folder for other Windows Users on the machine by replacing %USERNAME% in the address below with their user names, do you find an Autodesk.Neon.addin?

 C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2012

As the addin appears installed, but just not added to the menu of Revit 2012, I’ve attached the addin file, which you should be able to place in the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\ folder and all users on the machine should then have the addin in the menu of Revit.

Also note, that you’ll need to have UR2 installed as stated on the download page of the addin.  However, the installer will check to ensure that UR2 and quit the installer if it isn’t.  I’d still check to ensure UR2 is installed over the Revit 2012 by opening Revit and selecting Help (?)> About.

Best regards
