Furniture in room & phases

Why is furniture (and other elements) loosing data about it's location (room) when creating new phases?!?

You can reproduce this:

- create room & place furniture

- schedule the furniture and display room names

- create new Phase after the last one

- create new furniture schedule with same parameters -> room names are empty?!

This happens in 2013 & 2014.

Hello,

The Furniture is not loosing it's Association with the Room info. Rooms elements only have a "Phase" Parameter, unlike normal model elements which also have a "Phase Created" Parameter. Due to this, elements on a Schedule are associated with the Rooms that belong to the Phase in which the Schedule is set (under the Schedule's Properties). You will have to create a Room in that location that will belong to your newly created Phase in order for those furniture elements to properly display the appropriate Room information.

As an aid to help explain this, say, for example, you have a single Room which is existing, which includes some existing furniture to remain. As New Construction, the Room is being split into two new Rooms. This means that there is one Room on the Existing Phase and two Rooms on the New Construction Phase. When you create a new Schedule, how would Revit possible know which Room (the existing or the new) to associate the Furniture with, if you didn't specify it under the Schedule's Properties?
