Floor sweep?

Is it possible to draw floor sweeps or some kind of void? I am trying to create a floor trench that is 6" x 3", the floor is way thicker than that.

thanks

Make a floor based family that is a void. It will cut the floor when
placed. Make the void the depth/length/width you want, or make it
parametric so you can change it in your project.

Ok, I figured out how to make it, I just needed to finish it in order to see it, but what is the formula so I can make it different length according to the drawing. Thanks for your help. Message was edited by: irisolvo

Make a void floor in place family using sweep command.
Before finishing cut geometry between the sweep created and the floor.

s1. you can create using "Model in Place" -> Select category "Floor" -> Choose Void -> Sweep.

s2. if you floor sweep is in defferent elevation you need create with Floor based generic family, Add ref lines -> Add dims to connect parameter -> Don't forget to add ref lines from front view-> Create Void Sweep -> Lock with ref lines -> Open Family type -> Add some formulas and BOOM done!
