When I installed Revit 2014, the families did not download with the program.  So I have no default families, even after searching through the folders.  Can I download them seperately?  Or at least the Revit 2013 Families?

The location of the folder for Windows 7 is : ProgramData > Autodesk >RVT 2014 (or 2013) >Libraries >Image 3.png

Find a computer in wich the folder exists ,copy the folder and paste it in your computer in your own location.

As you can see from above screenshot you can also make your own path for the Families folders...or you can ad paths for families pushing on +
