I understand that in order to place an electrical device on a linked file, the family must be a face-based family. I'm working on creating a face-based family for a series of NEMA back boxes, but any symbolic annotation must be placed in plan, which - in the face-based family template - shows the placement face of the wall or surface only. If I physically flip the wall in the template so that the plan view displays correctly, the family ends up inserting in my projects showing the front face of the back box in plan (and the depth of the back box in elevation view). Ideas on how to make this work properly?
