I get the following error when trying to use etransmit on two different projects:
"the following files could not be checked for links"
We use Revit Server. We have many projects which etransmit just fine from Revit Server.
I looked this up and the only info I found said that Revit Server is locking a link or links or the main file. I (and our IT dept) checked Revit Server for locking and did not find any issues. I have tried locating the consultant linked files on the Revit Server too.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks!
In the workflow section of the Autodesk eTransmit for Revit help topic, it is stated that models must be closed before you run the command.
If you haven't already done so, make sure no one else is working in the project files (including all of the links and nested links) when you are using the eTransmit command.
Thank you for your reply. Your suggestions were the first things I tried.
I have taken the main architectural (ours) file and detached all cad links, and revit links, then I saved it as a new central file on our revit server in a new folder. It still will not etransmit correctly. I also saved it as a new central file in a folder of a project that is etransmitting correctly to no avail.
Strangely it will work just fine if it is saved to a local drive or if I run etransmit on my local file.
If you haven't already done so, try disabling worksharing (when using Detach from Central), save locally, close the project, reopen, re-enable worksharing, save to Revit Server (with a new name), and then try eTransmitting the project. (This would tell us if the issue is with the existing worksharing environment.)
Another test would be to take a copy of the project, and delete everything possible from the project (creating an empty project file), and then see if the issue continues. If clearing out the project stops the issue, then this tells us that one or more of the elements removed was causing the issue (and that it isn't an issue with the underlying project structure).
