Error Message from Revit when Exporting Navisworks

Without any problems previously I have begun to get this error message when i tried to export an NWC file.  I'm not sure what this is referring to or how to fix it.

Could someone please help?

Error Message in Revit:

Autodesk Navisworks Exporters 2012 exporter generated errors and no file was written. See :R:\********\Virtual CM\Coordination\Cache Files - Design\ID Model.nwc.log

Message exported to a text doc:

"System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.

at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.Insert(TKey key, TValue value, Boolean add)

   at NavisWorks9.LcRevitExportCommand.Execute(Application application, String& message, ElementSet element_errors)"

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you,

Can you attach the log file referred to in the message?

As an initial step you may want to repair the Revit exporter through Add Remove Programs > Autodesk Navisworks 2012 32/64 bit Exporter Plugins to see if this helps.

Any resolution to this error message?? I'm getting the same message all of a sudden.

Update to above issue... when I re-pathed the copy/monitor file the NWC export worked fine... maybe an issue with copy/monitor linked files??

Hey Jun,

I followed Lee suggested uninstall/reinstall of the Navisworks exporters and the full Navisworks installation. This ended up solving the exporter problem. This has been an issue for many years with Navisworks and the installation of new releases... seems to raise havoc on the exporter.

I run into the same problem while integrating Revit models with linked files inside.

It seems to be related with nested linked models were their Reference Type is set to Attachment. After removing these nested models, or changing their Reference Type properties, the import process run smoothly.
