Domed Roof using Revit 8

have not used Revit in a while, in fact, last time was version 5.0. doing a project for local astronomy club, and need help in creating the dome on the roof for star viewing. any ideas on the easiest way to create this? thanks for any help!

do a roof by sketch. then sketch the circle, and make it slope defining. In
the properties of the sketchline, set the segments equal to 0. Finish
sketch. this will draw a smooth dome.

That will make a smooth Cone shaped roof, not a dome. An in-place family with a solid Revolve will make a dome.

oops, yeah what was i thinking?? Sorry 'bout that.

or use the Mass family dome that comes with Revit, and place it in your
project. Then use the Roof By Face tool.
