Dimension text below with vertical dimensions R2013

Hello,

I'm trying to place text below a dimension. When I dimension horizontally it works just fine. When I dimension vertically there is a problem. I'm not sure how to correct this.

Thanks,

Alex

Seems like the "Read convention" type property of the dimension type has been changed to "Horizontal". Try changing that parameter back to its original setting "Up, then Left".

Here are all five choices in the "Read Convention" parameter. Only in two of the five choices is the below text sucessful. To get around this I've just put a piece of text below the dimension. Is there another setting that I have missed.

Thanks,

Alex

What's wrong with the "Up, then Left" result in your last image? It looks perfect to me.

It's our standard that text and dimensions used are only horizontal. I was just making sure that I had not missed any settings that would have corrected the horizontal example.

Thanks,

Alex

Unfortunately this is known behavior; you would have to manually add text to have it place below.
