Detail component fills

I posted a similar question last week.

Can someone please tell me if there is a way to have detail components (plywood, rigid insul, etc.) have their fill patterns align properly?

I find it inconceivable that the patterns only work one way. This pretty much renders them useless. Am I missing something or this the case.

Any help is much appreciated

yes you can. The Fill pattern has an "Orient in Host Layers:" Go to the
Fill Patterns properties from the Settings pulldown.

This would be true for a model object - but does not apply to filled
regions....

Thanks, but I found the answer I needed on another forum.

Basically the new detail components in R9.1 don't align in any other way- previous releases did. I found a modified component someone made for working around this.

Augi is a Autodesk sponsored website, so I can't imagine anyone would having
a problem with it. Thanks!
