Design review + Revit 2013 - Graphics and Workflow Tips

Looking for help with a team using ADR, currently having a couple of seperate issues.

1. In general there does not seem to be a lot of info on accepted workflows between ADR and Revit 2013.  Currently we have resorted to exporting the sheets individually, due to excessive load/save times on our PM's machine, and also issues with the team needing to update the dwfx for one sheet, while the PM may still be marking up another.

2. GRAPHICS - In our revit views, there seems to be no way to control the graphics of comments and markups (for instance, show completed markups green, markups with questions back to PM in blue)  The team has resorted to "override graphics in view" which is a one-at-a-time dumb workaround.

We are about to complete the circle with the PM re-loading the DWFx which has been updated in revit and re-exported.  Will add any additional queries to this thread as our usage of the software deepens.

BUMP

Also, we are having additional problems between users and the PM, once edits have been effected in Revit, and set to complete, the sheets are re-exported to DWF, When opened in ADR the PM recieves an error message and the previous comments come through locked, PM is now unable to select or edit any of the prior mark ups.

This is meant to be a work flow tool, but we are having big issues with closing the feedback loop.  Is this program complete and functioning? Are we missing some key concept, tool, or step in the process? or is it in some way a Beta-hack-job?

Also opening this thread to viable functioning alternatives to ADR which will allow us to have a functioning mark-up and feedback workflow with revit and our PM.

this is the error our PM is getting when they attempy to open the dwf export which has mark ups completed, apologies for blurriness.

Clicking okay opens the file, but all tools are greyed off, no work cn be done.

Thank you for your post.  In this case there can be a number of factors contributing to this.  One is the possibility for project corruption or miscommunication.

To check this, please refer to the link below with details on cleaning up your project file.  After this is done, please then test the functionality.  How does it compare?

Keeping Project Clean:  http://www.payette.com/post/664154-ten-ways-to-keep-your-revit

Additionally you can check the backup file, make a copy, and then test from the backup.  How does this then compare?  Are the links resolved?  Was the backup more successful?

Revit file backup and recovery:  http://allaboutcad.com/07/revit-file-recovery-and-backup-best-practices/

If this does not work we may need to see a copy of the file for testing.  Thank you and I hope this helps.
