I can export to dwf. It has some strange quirks like being greyed out when a schedule view is active. The main problem I have is that the sheets (even when a sheet set is saved) cannot be printed except in alphabetical / numerical order of sheet number. NCS says General comes first though it is not alphabetically first.
I have played around with adding a sheet order parameter but that does not seem to affect anything except the sheet list schedule.
I have also played around with the browser organization and can control the browser sheet order display.
But when I go to export to dwf, if sheets in the model is chosen, then the order of the sheets is immutable (alphabetic/numeric only). What am I missing? Why are these simple tasks so difficult?
So is a dwf with sheets printed in the following order beyond Revit? I know I can create a sheet list in the following order but can it be exported to dwf in the following sheet order.
G101
C101
...C405
A101
...A903
P101
...P402
etc. (M, then E)
I tried exporting from a simple Revit 2013 project to DWFx, and then opened the DWFx file in Design Review 2013. When viewing the DWFx file in Design Review, it looks like it is defaulting to sorting the views alphabetically.
You can drag the views into a different order (within Design Review), but I am not seeing an option within Revit that would be recognized by Design Review to control the order of the views within the DWFx file.
Thanks for the confirmation Lance. Do you think that is a reasonable wish? I would like the option of controlling what is published (and the sheet order) by settings in a sheet list schedule if another sheet set option is not available. I don't think this is a deficiency of the DWFX file since I can revise the order within the DWFX or DWF file but would prefer not to.

When describing the feature that you would like, make sure to include information on the workflow you would like to use, so that it is clear why you want to use a sheet list to control the order of the exported views.
