Custom Title Blocks

I am having a problem with the way labeling is done when creating your custom title block. The pre-made label mostly work the way I expect, except some allow you to edit on the 'sheet screen' and some will only let you edit in the 'family editor screen'.

Another thing. I wanted to have 3 lines of 'project name'. So I inserted the label 3 times. Problem is that when I enter text to one, they all have the same text. I want to be able to enter a different text for each 'project name'.

Is it just me?

Not an area I have much experience in...but I assume that 'Project Name' is
a Family - perhaps you could create a 'project name 1' 'project name 2' and
a 'project name 3' by duplicating and renaming.

Actually it's a parameter. You'll need to create new parameters with those
names.

I tried creating a new parameter, but it wasn't working the same way that the original does. It would only let me edit in the family editor, not the sheet that I inserted the title block on. Do you know where I can find instruction on how to create a new parameter properly? I look in the "help" on the program and online and can't find anything.

Most Revit users exchange information on http://forums.augi.com .Register
there and search Revit forums for titleblock parameters. There is even a
special forum for Revit tutorials. Here is a link to one of the threads
http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=30376 related to your topic.
