When I try to create a roof by surface from the attached surface created in Rhino, Revit is unable to make the roof. Any ideas why?
I can subdivide the surface and apply a pattern on it, but it segments the edges and some panels are missing when I do that.
I am linking the SAT file into an In-Place Mass family.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Try exporting a .dwg as an solids model, not a mesh. Then import into Revit and try converting faces
in the Conceptual Massing editor.
cheers
I appreciate your response. The reason this file is a mesh is because I had to export it as an AutoCAD file in order to be able to add it as an attachment to this post. The autodesk discussion groups dont allow all file types to be added.
When I was doing my testing I was working from a surface exported as a SAT file, which should work as it is a full NURBS surface.
I attached it again as a SAT file inside a ZIP file. Lets see if that works. Thanks again.
