Corruption of File

I am recieving a messege upon Saving my file. This file has not been a problem in the past and is under 20 megs. When saving the file Revit 2009 shuts down. It does not freeze any other programs on the machine but it does freeze Revit. Then when I reboot and go to open the file I get an error message stating "Revit tried to open the file past its end". What in the heck does that mean??? Not to mention at least I have a back up...I open the back up...save as...and it crashes again....any ideas???

2009 Crashed one other project of mine long ago and I had to go redraw the entire deal. This bug needs a fix ASAP.

"Past it's end error" typically means the file
became corrupt during the save process.  Your best bet is to go back to the
last know working backup of the file.   The continued crashing of
backup files when opened may indicate some other kind of file corruption.
You should probably send this file to Autodesk support for further
investigation.

This may not apply to you, but I've had similar behavior when saving to a
flash disk and the disk gets full. Make sure you have enough disk space to
save the backups, temp files, and the new file. Also, try doing a Save As
to your local C drive first, to see if any other network issues may be
involved. Lastly, try selecting "Audit" when opening the file to test the
backup file before saving.
