Component drop down missing in Revit LT 2014.

HI,

I'm wanting to model an in place component in Revit LT 2014.

The help:

http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVTLT/2014/ENU/?guid=GUID-68DBFA52-DF77-4B3F-84AC-F20194FADC64

says to access it via the drop down on the component button, but as you can see in the attached screen shot, there is no drop down on the component button.

After an hour of hunting around looking for a solution I wonder if there another way of modeling a custom component?

Thanks,

Ryan.

Here is a link to a comparison of the features between Revit and Revit LT.  In Revit LT, per footnote 1, you can only model in-place walls, not components.  You'll need the full-featured Revit for that.  In the meantime, you can still model it as a standalone family, which is the best approach in most cases, anyway.

If you need help with modeling in the family editor, please feel free to post a new thread.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum.
