Collaboration and backup files

Hello,

We are using Revit Architecture 2011.  When we work on a .RVT file by ourselves we have 3 backup files that Revit keeps track of.  These are named by number 001, 002, 003 and so on.  When we setup the file for collaboration our backup files are deleted.  Is this normal or is there a setting somewhere that handles this?

Thanks

Wiley

This is normal.  Once worksharing is enabled in a file a different backup strategy is enacted.  There is a "Backup" folder created in the same directory where the centrral file is located.  This folder contain 3 (I think) files which are related to the transactions with the central file.  they are used to recreate the central file if needed.  You don't do anythign directly with these files.  If you need to go back you will need to use the "restore Backup" tool on the collaborate tab of the ribbon.  this has an interface setup to guide you through the process of restoring your file to a previous point.
