I have some stairs which I want to be on a certain level however they are not going onto that level. I have made each row of them into a group as they are for a theatre.
Ayone know what to do?
Try going to an elevation view where you can see for sure
the level you want the chairs to be on. Then click on that
level so you have a plan view of that level looking down.
Then try placing your chair or chair groups in that view.
Edit: Also when you get the chairs on the level your think
they should be on, click on a chair and go to its instance
properties and make sure it's set to that level.
That has worked for all of them bar one.
Regardless of what level I put it on and try and offset it still does not snap to it.
Stil the same problem.
Do you know the best way is to show all the seat elements on one level in plan view. I have had to put them on different levels. However, when it comes to the plan view I am only able to see a couple of them and not not the full range.
I have underlayed other levels but it only allows me to underlay one level. Is there a way to underlay more than one?
Use a Plan Region, place it around the area where the tiered seating is, and adjust the View Range of the Plan Region indepenently of the rest of your view.
As far as your chairs not hosting to the correct Level, open the family and make sure under Family Types that it is set to "work plane based" . See attached.
