Cant change component in Revit 2010

Im trying to pick a different component, but always the same one comes up. It seems like the only ones that work are the ones inside the drop down menu. I cant pick any new components from other folders? They were working before, but not anymore.

Seems very strange.... Can anyone help?

Unfortunately I am not sure I am clear on the issue. Do you think you could provide a little more detail as to what the problem is - maybe with a set of steps we can follow or a screenshot?
