I have made several attempts to render the same image in Revit 2012. The render never actually starts. The status bar never comes up, after about 30 minutes revit just pops up a box that says I do not have enough memory. (The green status bar on the bottom of the screen gets stuck at 84%). This cannot be, because I am rendering on draft quality settings an image that is 672 kb, and I am using the most recent Macbook Pro with VMWare.
Has anyone heard of this problem occuring before and may have some possible solutions?
I have also opened the project in revit on a PC with 8gig ram. It does the same thing. Could it be a problem with the file? I can render the generic file included with the revit download with no problem.
Well in that case, i suppose I have no shot at getting a rendering by friday. Do you know if there may any options to repair this. I tried exporting to IFC and then back to revit, but it did not do anything. Do you think it might work to export it to 3ds max?
you shoud try to hide unnecessary elements in that views, keep the view depth, far clip offset to minimal required and try to render again. (there is no use to keep visibility of a elements on which is hiding behind another elements).
