C# for Revit

Hi All

I am hoping that someone might be able to help me with a tiny piece of coding. I have basically found out that it is not possible to link up Revit directly with ArchiBus. So my idea now is to write an application which will run in Revit but will link up to ArchiBus automatically. So now I am learning about programming which is like gibberish to me. I am going through the fundamentals of C#. Any and every bit of info will help. Please comment and give your opinion if this can be done.

If you have worked with software development or anything related which can help, please feel free to assist.

p.s. I am a Cad Technician fresh out of college with limited knowledge at this point.

Thanks

I am the one who responded to your Revit - Archibus connection. Revit has VB.net programming launguage built in, so you may want to try learning VB.net to see if there is any way to exchange information with Archibus. Have you tried the Archibus development team for help or ideas?

Thanks

I will change to vb.net then. Yes I have contacted them and are waiting for responses. I have also contacted AutoDesk in hoping that their might be some development in Revit for FM Tools. Maybe an add-on or something. I have a due date to pursue this idea of mine and hopefully something will happen otherwise we will carry on with AutoCad.

Thanks for your input and your help is much appreciated

Just in case it matters you can write API apps and
VSTA macros in C# for Revit as well as VB.net.  The Revit disk includes the
SDK for the Revit API and many sample strings of code to get you
started.
