Building model on sloped toposurface

Hi - I need to model a building that cascades down a steep sloped hill. Should I create a toposurface first and then model onto that or should I make my model and then apply it to a toposurface?

THanks

  • When I have such a problem I ,first , make the Toposurface , then I made the Building Pads , place the Levels and then begin modeling. I think that architecture has to follow the terrain and to adapt to the environment site.

  • For more complicated or large projects you can use linked files...the terrain on one file and the building on another file. This can be a more suitable method ..you can work ( or a team can work ) in the same time the terrain and the building...
  • Anyway , you can begin with the building , but you will have problems when adjusting the levels to fit the terrain...that's why I did not recomand this method...
