Case:
I create two concrete beams using: structure > beam
I select the placement plane and leave all other things default.
The two beams are at 30 degrees connected (instead of default 90degrees).
The beams join but not in the way I would like them to join.
The join isn't a 'sharp' point.
Attached a file with example. Model line shows what I would like to achieve.
How to do this?

The squaring off you are seeing at the join was implemented by user request in 2011. If you need the sharp angle I would suggest either creating a small in-place beam segment for the corner piece, or extending one of the beams and using the Opening by Face tool to cut the corner out of it.
If you would like to see different behavior, I encourage you to provide comments and a business case as to why this functionality is important to your firm at our Feedback site.
I hope this helps!
I have similar conditions all the time. I am a structural concrete detailer. After building a portion of the model, such as an upper floor in a concrete highrise or parking structure, I need to display the details, beam joins column/beam connections, etc. With concrete, we need to show actual conditions to show intent. Just as beams going through concrete walls and not walls going through a concrete beams. When creating waffle decks, I use the beam system, one set north & south, the other set east & west. Here too, the beams behave like they are steel beams and not concrete. Concrete is a very important element in construction as well as architecture.
