“Attaching” floor and walls doesn’t produce proper section,

“Attaching” floor and walls doesn’t produce proper section,

 

I tried to “attach” the floor with wall in the section view but sounds not to work!

 

What might be my mistake?

Use the Join tool to join your walls to the floor.

Many thanks for the answer.

 

It did work but couldn’t understand how the layers of wall and floor are integrated. I’m not sure if I’m correct when I say that layers of similar material are combined regardless their functions (structure [1], substrate [2], etc.). I n the screenshot below, after joining the floor and the wall, we still have line between the bricks layer.

 

What might be missed here?
