What do you want to use the classifications for? If it's just for scheduling
you can create a shared parameter file and include a Classification
parameter in it that could apply to any object, and be instance or
type-based.

I'm rather new to Revit, but I would like to classify my building objects
according to Dutch Standards.
This Norm is a classification norm as
C:\Program Files\Autodesk Revit Building
9.1\Program\UniformatClassifications.txt
Challenges that I have now:
How to adjust the file UniformatClassifications.txt to Dutch Standards?
(were to find help about this file?)
How to attach this Assembly code to Instances?
For example a wall (family) used in Foundation, should have other
Classification, than wall used in skeleton.(same Family)
Thanks in advance,
