Any suggestion regarding cutting the roof as shown in my pic

I need to leave the peak offset as shown.  The only thing I can think of is to draw two seperate single sloped roofs but there seems like there would be an easier way.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions offered,

Michael

I woul use one of the following two methods:

  1. using boolean : make a Component > Model in Place > Family Category and Parameters > Roofs . Make a box like entity - a Void , Select the Void , then Cut and select the  first roof .
  2. using a Reference Plane as helper and then in Sketch Mode use the Offset from Roof Base

2.

In both cases I considered that the edge is from one side to the other. I f it is only partial then the problem is much simple .....

Wow thanks for that. I was hoping for a less complex way. I extruded the
roof with the peak offset which worked rather well.
Thanks for the suggestion
