Aligning Fill patterns

Can we align wall cut fill patterns?  For instance; some of the wall material fill patterns that we use can cause confusion when other similar patterns are near by.  Is there a way to control the begining or to use the align tool?  It seems like Revit will only allow Drafting fill paterns to be used in defining materials "Cut Patterns".  Is there a way to make them Model Patterns?  Can we control the line weights of those fills?

Thanks

Nardo

I'm afraid the answer to all your questions is no. Cut patterns are only "drafting", and therefore, those patterns don't offer the same features of model patterns, such as align, rotate, etc. There is no way to make cut patterns "model" and there is no control for lineweight of the pattern itself, only for the cut lines of the wall.

This can be accomplished through phase filter. There is an excellent article on it here: http://revitclinic.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/01/troubleshooting-cut-pattern-alignment.html
