how to insert a hanger for pipes

If I want to my c# programing to run a fuction that when I click the button, then a hanger will create when I click the pipe.

what can I do?  besides, revit mep dose not have the family, hanger in libraries!!... wouild it possiple to create, and how?

the following picture is what I would to do.

ps: the hanger's diamater will change automatically accroding to the diamater of pipes

Hi,

You can create a hanger family first. With regard to how to make a hanger family, reference Revit online document.

Then you need to write Revit plugin. 

In the Revit plugin, pick the pipe by Selection.PickObject() method. And then get the Pipe's postion by Pipe.Location property.

And insert the hanger family instance by NewFamilyInstance() method, along the pipe's line. 

that's the basic idea.
