Split the faces of a wall footing

Hi everyone,

I would like to know which method i should use if i want to split the faces of a wall footing. I'm aware of the face.getregions or the facesplitter class but from my understanding none of them allow me to mimic the split face command.

We do not currently have a way of creating a new split face element similar to the command.

Is there any update from Revit 2017 for the face splitting? Can FaceSplitter class be used to split a face, or is there any method to do this?

I want to add my support for moving this up the wishlist. Our interior designers use split face and paint extensively. Making it easier (faster) to complete the manual task of splitting a bunch of wall faces would be a very appreciated productivity and sanity boost. We have a hard enough time getting the designers to work entirely in Revit (and not Sketchup), so these kinds of quality-of-life enhancements through the API pay off big.
