I'm trying to create an unplaced area, but using the Document.Create.NewArea() doesn't allow it to be unplaced, and also requires you to be in an area view. Is it possible to just create the area without placing it, so it can pre-populated with data?
Actually, what I'm ultimately trying to accomplish might be easier than unplacing an area. I have an color scheme that is using the "Area Name". I'm trying to use API to prepopulate the color scheme with different Area Names so that the user could have a drop-down list for names, instead of having to type them in. I see I can add to the scheme from inside Revit, so is there a way to access this in the API?
