e57 crash when loading

Hi all,

I am not a Recap user but have supplied a client who is with a 63 scan 15GB e.57 file exported from Cyclone and when they try to import into Recap it crashes. Is the file size to big for Recap? The file has transverse mercator coordinates and maybe this is affecting the import? 

When it first starts importing it Recap says it will take 8 hours to import before crashing. Does this amount of time to load sound correct?

Based on your description, it sounds like your client is using an old version of ReCap and should probably update before we try to dig into this much further.

The installer for the current version can be found here: http://www.autodesk.com/products/recap/free-trial

If they update to the latest release and are still running into this crash, please let us know and we'll go from there.
