Data missing

After indexing and launching the project there is no scan data in the project. The file imported is a fws file. This file has been registered and filtered using FARO Scene 5.2

The following workaround should solve this, but you would have to index your scans again;

In Scene right click on “Scans” from the work structure on the left side and click on “Save copy of scans”.

This will save a new .FLS files with the right information that should import without a problem in ReCap.

Strange,

What is the type of data you are working with in Scene?

Are they Faro Focus scans? Done in Full Area or cropped?

The Scans were captured using a FARO Focus 3D Scanner.

The scans have been cropped and filtered using FARO Scene.

Ok I’ll pass along this to the team and let you know the outcome.

Thank you,

Just a thought: does your registration have a large offset?  If so, the default limit box may be hiding your data.  Try resetting the limit box (From the Limit Box tile in the upper left).

We tried resizing the limit box but it did not help.

It seems to be an issue with cropping the scans in Scene. We were able to bring the uncropped scans into Recap with no issues and use Recap for the cropping and filtering.

That's interesting.  I'll see if we can try to reproduce here.  Could be a FARO SDK issue.

We also checked to be sure we are running the latest SDK update.
