I've recently begun using Quickcad 7 for traffic accident diagrams. It seems
to be a good program for job. However, we have a specific page to print the
diagrams onto. The problem I've run into is when I have a multiple page
diagram to do. When I print onto the second page, the diagram prints in the
predefined margin area of the paper. There is certain information that is
already pprinted on the top and bottom section of the page. having the
diagram print over this information does not look professional. Is there a
way around this problem?

QuickCAD prints using the parameters assigned in the windows printer
driver.
There is no true way to force something to print the way you need it to
in QuickCAD other than seperating the different pages into seperate
drawing files and printing each one at a time.

If your original drawing is drawn to scale on the sheet size of your =
report, e.g. 8.5" x 11" then to print specific areas adust the margin =
settings to restrict the print area to the bit you want. With QC7 this =
is quite easy to do from the print preview window. If you want to print =
the whole drawing (not to scale) in a small window on the page then just =
adjusts the margins to suit the size and position of your 'window', =
select "Fitted to Printer Page" and "Extents View"other than "Scaled" =
and "Page View".

I am sure that with a bit of judicious margin adjustment prior to each =
print job you can achieve exactly what you want.

Sorry about the inserted pictures but I felt a picture was worth a =
thousand words in this instance!

Barry,

Just some advice, and it may be worth what you're paying for it.

You shouldn't post to the Newsgroup in HTML. Lots of folks don't have
readers or browsers that support it and your comments will be lost.

You shouldn't post files here as binaries in general. They oughta go in
the Customer Files area, at least for now. I, for one, cannot even open
the files with the Netscape 4.75 browser. I guess I'll have to get 4.77.
But the files may have been corrupted somehow.
