Shape files

In the previous post by foaman, I replied that I had the same problem regarding shape files. When I try to open an Autocad2000 files, the shape file window opens, and it's like the blue screen of death. It locks up the system. I reading previous posts, it appears that the drawing has a shape file in it that is not present in my program.

Question..can we download shape files from the Autodesk web site?

No...you can only obtain the .shx from the author of the original AutoCAD
file..as it's their custom file. When prompted for the file in QuickCAD,
select PTMARKS.shx....it's a standard default.

If that doesn't work, you are pretty well up the creek...yet another
limitation within QuickCAD...!!!
