I am thinking about buying QuickCAD, and am curious as to its tools and
performance. I occasionally use AutoCAD r14 at work, and am wondering if
QuickCAD is decent for home use for small projects such as floorplans. Any
comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Quickcad is basically designed to be used as a home use product,
although many users are larger firms. It can and does create blueprint
quality drawings. It has many of the same functions as R14. The
functions in Quickcad are used in either pull down menus or menus
brought up on the screen or through a keystroke . Version 7 is the
newest version on the market and it can open the R14 drawings. Remember
that Quickcad sets up a page and a specific scale so when opening R14
drawings you will have to reset the page and the scale of the drawing to
get it to fit on the page displayed.
