Chris.

Lots of ways. The easiest is to Select it (click on the line) and drag-swipe
across the length field in the Edit Bar so that it changes color. Type in the
length you wish and hit [Enter]. Nothing will change on the drawing until you
hit [Enter] so that the program will accept any change.

Thanks for the reply Harvey,
but that is not what I meant. I am just starting to convert over from
TurboSketch and I am used to a command called line length where you can
extend a line with the mouse by dragging on an end. Is there no comparable
command in QC?

Also, if I do as you say then presumbly the line lengthen about its centre
and not at one end?

Yes there is. Select the line and pull on an end-handle. As you do this, you can
type and input the x/y distance relative from the point you started from.

Another way is to Select, pull the handle, type or , then type in a snap
and pull the line to an object. You can snap with , , , any one of them
that's appropriate.

Lastly, if you lengthen with the 2D coordinate dialog box or the Edit bar, the
line will legnthen from its initial start point - NOT the other way or from the
AboutPoint or the center. The line will continue in the direction you started it
from.
