I have crashed several times this morning while using QTO 2013. I am using DWFx files. The 3D is 900 kb, the 2D sheets are 17 mb and the QTO is 25 mb. I am using a Lenovo w520 with 8 gb RAM. I am using build 6.0.78.0 .
What is prefered for QTO 2013, DWF or DWFx files?
What file sizes cause issues?
Thanks!

Dear autodesk14606
We recommend DWF files over DWFx files as they are generally smaller and load faster:

Regarding the crashing. I checked the crash reports that you had sent, and I suggest checking if turning off hardware acceleration improves stability. This is explained in the following article:
3D Model graphics do not appear and may cause the application to hang.

If so, I would try updating your graphics driver from the card’s manufacturer’s webpage. Alternatively, if you have other Autodesk products installed, I would suggest downloading a certified driver recommended for one of your other applications. You can find the certified hardware page:

If the project is complex, I would try the suggestions from the following help topics page on managing project size:

I also recommend turning on the “Auto Save” function so that periodically the application saves a backup of your work in case a crash occurs. This setting is found in the preferences as described here:
