Razer Hydra -> Motion Builder via Python

Hey! I know nothing about motionbuilder, but a friend wants to be able to control it with a razer hydra (a 1:1 motion controller).

Optimally, we'd be able to stream rotation / postion / trigger / joystick values / buttons into the node area and map them to characters.

I've run this device into Blender 3D using python for moving and rotating objects, and it's awesome.  I'm wondering how to create a plugin like mouse or joystick but for the hydra.

Can this be done with a python script input, or does it need to be a separate plugin in c++?

This would have to be done in the OR SDK (C++), as the class you need to create a device plug-in are not exposed to Python. You would want to write an input device, the devlopers documentation is a good place to start,

Cheers,
