Plotting skeleton driven by 3D clock-based damping nodes

Hi Folks,

I've got some rigs that have cloth/hair driven by Relation constraints using the Damping (3D) Clock based nodes, just like the viking character in the tutorials that ship with mobu.

I can't use the standard plot to skeleton as the cloth is calculated in realtime. My idea to fix this is to do an event/callback continously inserting keys as many times as possible while playing at 1x speed.

The insert-key part is pretty easy, but calling it continously while playing has got me stumped.

Cheers,

Max

  • Normaly you have to make sure "play mode" is ON (on your damp3D clock based node) and you should be able to plot.

You can as well set your cloth bones as an extension of your character so it can be plotted with your character.
