I wanted to ask this question here as REVIT is currently the leading BIM software and rightly so. I Have been using it for a couple of years now on and off as part of my University work and hobby. However my company (Construction) that I work part time for, is now trying to implement BIM ahead of the Government(U.K) plans to force all companies on its framework to use BIM Level 2 (3D models with co-ordination) by 2016.
Knowing that I am able to use REVIT and have a general knowledge of BIM I have been tasked with finding out how to get our Small/Medium Company to use BIM and how we would co-ordinate between the different companies. I.e. we are employed by the client to oversee the construction works, so we would have the M&E model, structural engineer’s model and the architect's model which would all need to be co-ordinated.
So if anyone has any advice on this I would be very grateful.
Rob
