Falcon for Inventor 2012 Crashes on Simulation Changes

I am having stability issues with Falcon running as an Add-In for Inventor 2012. Whenever I try to change any of the simulation settings:
3D:
Flow Direction
Domain Size
Flow Speed
Resolution
2D:
Move cross section plane
...Inventor crashes. I can start the simulation, change the visualization style, and that's about it. Also, when I try to look at the Drag graph, a grey box pops up on my screen, but no data is plotted. On install, I followed these instructions:
to unblock technology previews. Also, for some reason, I had to specify that my install directory is:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor 2012\Addins
The default was trying to install in a non-existing AutoCAD 2013 directory (even though I have 2012).
This does significantly limit the usabilty of the program for me - are there any suggestions for how I can resolve this?

I only have Inventor 2013 listed on the supported applications page.

That would do it. Thanks for the reply.

I also installed Falcon, but I'm using it stand-alone. I too have stability problems with Falcon. Every time I want to change appearance settings (flow lines instead of cloud) or drag the view planes or whatever change, Falcon crashes. I can't reproduce the steps needed to say which one causes the crash, because Falcon crashes on different occasions/changes. Pretty annoying when you realise that the same problems still occurs although I upgraded from an Windows XP 32-bit machine to a Windows 7 Pro 64bit Xeon machine.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Stability seems to be good on many machines but there are some where issues have come up. Our team is looking at some improvements to the platform that will hopefully help.
In the meantime, some of those that have had trouble found the change below helpful. No guarantees but may be worth a try.
1) Change the Shader option to "0" in the "settings.ini" file in your Falcon installation folder:
[Settings]
Reset=0
Shader=0
UI=0
Velocity-X=10.000000
Velocity-Y=-0.000100
...
2) Start Falcon and see if that resolves the problem

If the settings.ini file is not there it is an indication we haven't had any successful sessions yet on that system.
I spoke with another person 2 weeks ago who was having similar issues until he re-downloaded the installer using a different browser. Can you try re-downloading from the main project page? I will temporarily post an alternate build here in case you want to test downloading from a different source.
