Max Script easy position problem

Hey,

I'm new to writing scripts in 3DS Max.

My problem is that when I use the move function the object doesn't move with the value I typed in.

I'll attach a picture where you can see that I want to move the object for 10 units

but the new position is 25,4cm.

Am I doing something wrong or can someone explain this to me?

Is it because the Script language always uses Inch as Unit?

1 Inch = 2,54 cm

Customise > Units Setup. You have fallen into the same trap as many other people in thinking that changing the display units is sufficient - it isn't.
Click the big System Units button and change the value in there to cm (1 unit = 1cm) - the default is Inches which is why you're seeing a difference when using Move.
