Wipeouts printing all black in PDF

Hi there,

We've got a problem that concern our clients.
We usually ship our plans into PDF format to them.

Sometimes we have comebacks that they see black boxe's (Wipeouts) instead of seeing annotation, etc...

In our office everything prints perfectly.

Our setup is this one :

Civil 3d 2014 (We had 2012 and it was ok too)

PDFCreator 1.9.0.126 - Developer Preview

Kip 7700 series

We dont really know why it does that for our clients, even tough us it's ok.

We think that it's maybe the printer the problem, since it's the only variable outside of our office.

Anyone has a solution ?

Hi there

Got a friend that works in another office and told me something :

In Acrobat, when configuring the printing.
You need to go into advance and print as image si it wont do the same mistake.

Is there a reason you're using a 3rd party 'developer preview' instead on the built in DWG to PDF plotter?  That's almost certainly the reason for the black boxes appearing

Well, we use a 3rd party plotter cause we need to save the PDF under the format of PDF/A for some of our clients that they need that format.

But it's a good point you bring out, i should do some tests to check if it works proprely with the native DWG to PDF plotter in Acad.

Keep u posted

Has this been resolved?

If not, what is the version of OS running on the KIP printer (embedded controller)  - check the "?" (HELP) on the touch-screen.

I found some notes about PDF wipeout issues fixed in KIP version 7.3.247 and later.  Check with your servicing dealer for details.
