Stop Kip 7700 from automatically upsizing to larger rolls?

Is it possible to stop Kip 7700 from automatically upsizing to larger rolls? I would prefer to get a notification to change the roll rather than have it automatically upsize to a larger role and have to trim drawings. thanks for your help!

This is the default behavior.  You can change this by logging in as admin to KIP PrintNet (controller's webserver).

Configuration > Print Settings - at the top look for Closest vs Exact.  Change it to Exact, then hit APPLY on the right side of that section.

The drawback is that your print dimensions must match one of the roll sizes.

As an alternative to making this change, is use KIP Request/KIP Print (PC software - free on kip.com) to submit PDFs and use the Force Size Menu to set the print size.  You can choose from a list of pre-formatted standard sizes, or create custom sizes as needed.    Plenty of instruction in the software manuals.
