Hi, am using ACAD2008 on windows XP. I have just started having this problem that if I choose to plot from a window the plot dialogue box locks up after the window is selected and the command line is still asking for the corners of the window to be selected. But everything plots ok if I use extents. Thanks
I have noticed that what appears to be happening is that after selecting the first point for the window, as soon as I select the second point the plot dialogue box appears again but the command lins is still asking for the second point and just locks up untill I press escape.
This is not something that I've run into before. I wonder if your PICKFIRST variable is affecting this. Make sure it's set to 1.
Could it be the mouse drivers that you have installed? Are you using software for your mouse, such as what lets you program its buttons and what not? If so, I'd try removing this to see if the problem does away in AutoCAD. Allowing Windows XP to handle your mouse might be better.
Since the problem just started happening for you, I'd try creating a new administrator user account, log in to that account, and then see if the issue still occurs. This lets AutoCAD load with a clean initial setup. If it works as expected in the new user account, then we can try resetting AutoCAD in your normal account.
